Abstrak

Peningkatan permasalahan lingkungan mendorong perkembangan praktik industri menggunakan integrasi teknologi berbasis kimia dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis bagaimana prinsip kimia hijau atau ramah lingkungan diterapkan untuk meningkatkan keramahan lingkungan dan efisiensi metode pengolahan air limbah. Pencarian literatur yang komprehensif dilakukan di seluruh database utama, dengan fokus pada penelitian yang diterbitkan dari tahun 2010 hingga 2022. Temuan ini mengungkapkan adanya pergeseran signifikan ke arah penggunaan bahan-bahan yang tidak terlalu berbahaya, peningkatan efisiensi energi, dan penggunaan bahan-bahan terbarukan dan biodegradable dalam proses pengolahan air limbah. Tinjauan ini menyoroti tantangan terkait skalabilitas, kelayakan ekonomi, dan aspek peraturan dari pendekatan ramah lingkungan ini. Studi ini memberikan gambaran mengenai tren dan mengidentifikasi arah penelitian dan kebijakan di masa depan terkait kimia hijau dalam pengelolaan air limbah berkelanjutan.
