Abstract

Age Limits of Female Marriage According to Hadiths and Their Implications in Islamic Countries. This article reviews the age of marriage for women and their implications / applications in several Islamic countries. In the hadith, nothing explains the age limit of married women. But if further investigated, hadiths related to the feasibility of a person to marry fukaha differ in their opinion about the age limit for women to be called baligh. According to cleric Hanafi, a woman aged 17 years. The Syafi'i school gives a 9 year age limit for women. Hambali, both male and female 15 years old. Whereas the Muslim cleric marked maturity by growing hair in several places/ members of the body. This difference of opinion regarding the concept of baligh resulted in the age limit of married women in several Islamic countries differing from each other
