This study aims to examine the effectiveness of STEAM implementation in improving creativity and 21st-century skills of elementary school students. This study uses a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from various relevant empirical and theoretical studies in the last ten years. The results of the study indicate that STEAM is able to improve creativity, critical thinking, and students' collaboration skills. The integration of art in STEM provides added value to learning, making it more contextual and meaningful. However, the main challenges in implementing STEAM are teacher readiness, limited facilities, and constraints in project-based learning time management. These findings confirm that STEAM contributes significantly to the development of 21st-century competencies, in line with the concept of Merdeka Belajar.
