Abstract

The study was intended to analyze the numerical abilities of 5 grade students of SDN Sumokali Candi Sidoarjo in completing problem solving of the 5 question of subjective test. This type of study was qualitative. The data-collection techniques used in this study were test, interview, and documentation. The subject in this study were 5 grade students of SDN Sumokali Candi Sidoarjo. Based on the results of the test's numerical capability of 5 grade student of SDN Sumokali Candi in completing problem solving were still in the low category. There were 23 participants of the study  who take numerical ability tests. There were 5 of students who have a moderate level numerical ability and 18  students who have low level numerical capability. The obstacles were create less numerical ability in the 5 grade how to complete problem solving, such as, learners don't know or forget the formula, learners lack of written material, make answers, lack of confidence in their own answers and follow the answers of their friends.
