PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATIC EDUCATION (RME) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MATERI PECAHAN SISWA KELAS V DI SDN PUCANG 1 SIDOARJO

Abstract


The purpose of class action research (car) is to find out how much improvement in learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Pucang 1 Sidoarjo Elementary School on the subject of Mathematics Fraction material using the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach. The research subjects were using 24 students, consisting of 11 male students and 13 female students. Data collection techniques used in this classroom action research are observation, tests, and documentation. Mathematics learning outcomes showed an increase in the number of students who managed to achieve completeness in Mathematics. This is indicated by the average student learning outcomes of 53.33 (before being given action) to 59.16 after being given the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach in cycles 1 and 73.13 in cycle 2. Students' learning completeness also increased from 37.5% before the action became 58.33% after being given the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach in cycle 1 and 91.67% in cycle 2.
