PEMANFAATAN MEDIA GAMBAR KARTUN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MEMBACA TEKS NARASI SISWA KELAS II SDN PUCANG 4 SIDOARJO

Abstract


Student motivation in learning that is still low makes students less understanding narrative text questions. Based on these problems, the researcher conducted a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using cartoon media. The research was conducted in two cycles, each meeting conducted in two hours of study. To measure students in mastering the material, students are given formative questions in the core activities and the end of learning. The results showed that the average value of students 'formative test results in the implementation of prasiklus learning 63.9 then in the first cycle of improvement activities the students' average formative test scores were 70.2 or increased by 6.3% compared to pre-cycle activities. In the second cycle of improvement activities the average formative test scores of students were 80.8 or increased by 16.9% compared to pre-cycle activities. Thus, the use of cartoon image media can improve the reading comprehension of narrative texts in class II of SDN Pucang 4 Sidoarjo.
