PEMANFAATAN METODE TEGAK LURUS UNTUK MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA FPB DAN KPK PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS IV DI SDN PUCANGANOM

Abstract


The difficulties of students in understanding and working on FPB and KPK story problems in mathematics subjects become a problem for teachers. Therefore, new methods need to be done to help improve students' understanding of FPB and KPK material. This research was conducted on the fourthgrade students of Pucanganom Elementary School in Sidoarjo. 35 students have been used for classroom action research using the Straight Up method. This study uses 3 stages, namely pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. Teacher activity has increased with the average value of teacher activity 74 in the first cycle while in the second cycle 86 or up 12% compared to the first cycle. Student activities also increased with an average value of 71.4 in the first cycle while in the second cycle to be 85.7 or up 20% compared to cycle I. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle increased the average value of students by 19% and in the second cycle there was a 44% increase compared to pre-cycle with an average value of 57.6 to 87 , 4. The completeness rate is very satisfying because there is an increase in the first cycle as much as 60% and in the second cycle of 100% compared with the completeness rate in pre-cycle which is only 28.6%.
