Abstract

This research is motivated by students' mathematical communication and student reasoning habits that still need improvement. Learning media that will be used to improve students' mathematical communication skills and student reasoning habits are learning modules. The use of learning modules is possible to support the objectives in the study. Based on this background, the questions in this study are (1) How do students' mathematical communication skills use the learning module? (2) How do students' reasoning habits use the learning module? This research includes qualitative research, this type of research uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection uses observation, documentation, written tests and interviews. Data retrieval is carried out in two stages. The first stage is to provide a written test instrument. The second stage is an interview test of selected subjects. The research subjects were divided into three levels: high ability level, moderate ability level, and low ability level. The conclusions in this study are (1) general mathematical communication skills of students in the medium criteria. (2) Whereas the reasoning habit of students is generally categorized as good.
