Abstract


This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of first grade students of Kepunten Sidoarjo Elementary School on Mathematics subjects when they two-dimensional figureusing flashcard media. this can be seen from the results of interviews with the first grade Mathematics SD Kepunten Sidoarjo teacher who stated that students still lacked of understanding on two-dimensional. This type of research is Class Action Research (CAR). This research consisted of 2 cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research are 29th grade students of Kepunten Sidoarjo Elementary School, consistis of 17 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques in this study are observation and tests. The observation is held to identify the percentages of teachers activities and students activities. The teachers activities in the first cycle reach 71,4% and 93,7% in second cycle. The students activities reach 61,9% in the first cycle and increase becomes 81,2% in the second cycle. The tests in the form of lembar penilaian (LP) are given to students individually at the end of each cycle. The results of this research show that the use of flashcard media can improve student learning outcomes in two-dimensional figure. This can be seen from the average of students learningoutcomes from LP in the first cycle is the 65, while the average in the second cycle is 93. All students have reached KKM in the second cycle.
