PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GEOBOARD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS III MATERI KELILING DAN LUAS BANGUN DATAR DI SDN CANGKRING 1

Abstract


Mathematics learning is a process of providing learning experiences to students’ through the learning process. Teachers must be able to create a conducive and effective classroom situation to motivated their students and make them active in the teaching and learning process. Based on interview by the researcher at Cangkring 1 Elementary School, they found that students' ability to understand Plane (geometry) Area and Circumferenceof mathematics as still low. The right solution to handle these problems is to use geoboard media in the learning process. The aim of this studyare to describe the teacher activities, student activities and improving the learning result. The subjects in this study is the students’ of third grade at Cangkring 1 Elementary School consisting of 13 students. The technique of collecting the data is by observing and testing student learning result. The results of this study, teacher activities showed that there was an increasing in pre-cycle by 76.5% to 95.2% in cycle I. The results of observations of student activities on pre-cycle were 74.3%, up to 92.3% in cycle I. While the results of student learning process also showing the increasingof the average student learning result in pre-cycle by 78.6 to 91.6 in the first cycle and classical learning completeness in pre-cycle is 76.9% to 100% in cycle I. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the use of geoboard media is very suitable for use in third grade of the mathematic subject on materialPlane (geometry) Area and Circumference.
