PERAN GURU DAN PUSTAKAWAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BACA SISWA MELALUI MADING DALAM GERAKAN LITERASI DI SMA NEGERI 1 KEDUNGPRING

Abstract


Efforts to improve writing skills for students and at the same time build a reading culture and one way is to publish wall magazines. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of teachers and librarians in increasing students' reading interest through the literacy movement in Kedungpring 1 Public High School, Lamongan Regency. Based on the results of the analysis, the strategy of fostering students' reading interest in the Library of SMA N 1 Kedungpring, Lamongan Regency has involved librarians and teachers and each has carried out their roles and support each other. Students who obtained reading interest were less than 7 people (21.88%), the scores reached 11 (34.38%), good grades 9 people (28.13%), and excellent scores reached 5 people (15.63%). The results that students liked through the magazine in phase II showed an increase compared to phase I. The increase in results obtained by students could be seen as the average value of all students who reached 87 (very good predicate). The percentage of the number of students based on the values obtained shows the reading interest of students who get good grades until they improve, while the reading interest of students who get less scores increases enough. Interest in reading students who scored very well 10 people (31.25%), good grades 14 people (43.75%), sufficient grades 7 people (21.88%), and students with grades less than 1 person (3, 13%). Increasing the value of student reading interest obtained in phase II increases students already involved in the discussion process after actively reading the school magazine.
