PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF METODE JIGSAW DALAM MENINGKATKAN READING COMPREHENSION SISWA KELAS IX-A TAHUN PELAJARAN 2017/2018 SMP NEGERI 1 KEDUNGPRING KABUPATEN LAMONGAN

Abstract


The learning with the jigsaw method begins with the introduction of topics to be discussed by the teacher. Teacher can read the topics to be learned on the board, display power points, and so on. The teacher asks the students what they know about the topic. Type of classroom action research (CAR) through four main steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. increase in class averages from the pre-action stage to cycle 1. The increased that occured from pre-action to cycle I is equal to value 10. While from pre-action to cycle II there is an increased of value 16. Viewed from the graph, the average class in the action of cycle II is 81. Thus, it can be said that the class action has succeeded. This is because the average class was met the product successed limit which is greater than or equal to 76. Another increase in addition to the results of the class average value of each action, the increase lies in the number of students who reach the KKM. At the the action of the number of students who reached KKM was 2 students or 6%. Students who have not reached KKM are 29 students or 94%. The first cycle of the number of students who reached KKM was 4 students or 13%. Students who have not reached KKM are 27 students or 87%. The second cycle of students who have reached KKM is 24 students or 77%. Students who have not reached KKM are 7 students, or 23%.
