PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBASIS VIDEO UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA MATA PELAJARAN IPS (Studi Kasus pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN Suko 2 Sidoarjo)

Abstract


Social studies learning in fourth grade on second elementary school of Suko Sidoarjo is still not optimal. Result of the first observation which do the researcher on learning at fourth grade. The teacher still use conventional learning method, where student just as an object not a subject and the teacher never use learning method because they can’t use technology. So that students creative thinking skills are not well developed and unable to archive learning completeness. Therefore, there are solution is offered to overcome the low creative thinking skills in social studies subject by using a video-based discovery learning model. The riset design used was classroom action research consist of to cycle. The result of this riset indicate that the percentage of learning has increased by 63% from 37% in the first cycle and to 92% in the second cycle. The percentage of teacher activity in the first cycle of first meeting acieve 60%. The first cycle of second meeting acieve 74%. The second cycle cycle of first meeting acieve 84% and the second cycle of second meeting acieve 95%. The percentage of student activities in the first cycle of first meeting acieve 59%. The first cycle of second meeting acieve 73%. The second cycle of first meeting acieve 87% and the second cycle of second meeting acieve 94%. Based on this riset it’s recommended for elementary school teachers to try to implement a video-based discovery learning model to improve creative thinking skills.
